This was one in series of four caches placed to show the UCI campus.
Now it's all by itself, unless you go grab "And The Oscar Goes To..." which is within easy walking distance.

This is an itty bitty, log only, no pen having cache, so bring a pen.
Parents may want to keep a hand on the youngster on this one depending on how crowded it gets here.

On a clear summer night, you can see Disney’s fireworks from the cache site, or close to it. (They start at 9:35pm, bearing 339 true, 12 miles) A few years ago, you could actually *hear* them. Admittedly it was really faint, but you *could* hear them.

A couple of notes about parking at UCI:
• Don’t park in a loading zone. After 15 minutes, you *will* get ticketed. Besides, you might get in my way, and I have the parking people on speed dial. I’d hate to do that to a geocacher.

• All of the parking structures have timed spaces. These spaces are charged at 10 cents for 3 minutes ($2/hr). NEVER put more than $7 into the machines. At $7, you can get an all day pass from the attendant good in any unreserved space in all three parking structures.

• During the school year, parking on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day is basically impossible.

• The shopping center across Campus Drive from campus discourages people parking there for UCI use.

Wow! We didn't find this two years ago... but 50 caches and two years later it seemed easy. :)

Classy cache. I finished up with practice and I grabbed me this gem. Some musical muggle was serenading me the entire time up there. Thanks for the music. And thanks for the cache.

Found it while night caching the area, we just finished the Oscar goes to.. virtual and then realized this one was very close to where we parked, so it was last of the night.
The log was over full, so we replaced it with a fresh new GC log sheet.

Find number 9 of 14 on day 2 of our spring break caching marathon. Easily found by geodad. Yesterday it was parents vs. kids. Today it is boys vs. girls. Losers do the dishes. Looks like the girls will be washing at this point. This one was fun for several reasons... didn't have to worry about parking as we were on our bikes, geomom and geodad attended and met at UCI over 20yo, and last year geogirl played a soccer tournament on the field nearby. Our Palm Pilot died recently, so all the information we had going into this cache hunt was a GC number adn a set of coords. Because all of the students were on spring break, we had the area all to ourselves to search, but still came up empty handed - Us midwesterners aren't too used to looking for micros/nanos! Once we got back to the car and checked the cache page on the laptop, we all slapped ourselves on the forehead, realizing where the cache probably had been.

Oops. I should have read the cache info before going to get this. We walked up the ramp to every level and looked on every level. Once on top, quick find. TFTC

The geo-pup and I found this on our early morning walkabout around UCI. I tried to enjoy the view also but I am really afraid of heights, gulp. More importantly, I found the geocache and was able to sign my name!! THX 4 the hide!
