This was the second of four we planned for Friday morning. It was also our last. I don't know how we are going to get those last two We saw the gazebo from across the ravine and were sure that was the place. I was actually pleasantly surprised when we got there and had to look around a bit. This place is fantastic. All the way back I was planning the mortgage for our new house here. Despite the traffic this is a serene and peaceful spot. TNLN. Thank you so much for showing us this place.

Yes, a nice view of the area from here. Reminded me of Canyon Watch gceb5c. That jeffster is a trickster, and let me wander a bit more than was good for me. After rousing a critter, If jeff had not already found it, I would've slithered away myself. Thanks!

YourBuddyBill and I considered trying to approach this cache cross country, up hill and down dale. Then we noticed that the gated community has built an easy access trail, with a water fountain and a play yard, seemingly for our convenience. It was the work of a few moments to find the cache. I stood next to it while sending YourBuddyBill down a different path to look for it. I retrieved, signed and replaced while he was rousting a snake from its slumbers sixty feet away. I don't play poker for good reason. Bill knew right away that I had already found it. This was a good day: six for six. Thanks for the fun!

After spending a couple hours putting up Holiday lights and such, it was time for a break (if you call a 4+ mile hike, a break). Parked at the trail head and headed up the trail.
Upon arriving the first time, the local Partol was ON duty right at the path so we continued on another mission. Upon arriving the second time, the guard was partoling another are and we headed up the path. Surprise, nonaeroterraqueous was coming down the path. We debriefed and then headed on. When we got back to the parking lot, the Guard was back but he was concentrating on some people playing in the kids area. I'm not sure if they were destined for the brig or not but we took advantage of the guard's distraction and quietly snuck past his patty wagon.
Thanks for the break and the cache.

I'd rather not say how I tried to approach it the first time. It gets me every time someone says I need to wear pants to protect my legs from the brush. I'm thinking, "Okay, three-hundred feet straight through the bushes sounds about right." Nope. In fact, the plants barely touched us on the second approach. We met jshults on the way out. He seemed nervous about the security guard, because it isn't clear if we're really allowed in the area. We talked with the guard on the way out and had no trouble. Nice guy, actually. Thanks for the hide. Might be just barely damp inside. It's hard to tell.
