I'm guessing a series of "Monopoly"-themed caches already exists, but I couldn't resist starting another one here.

Almost everyone recognizes "Monopoly," the board game based on properties in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I'm not 100% clear on the origin of the game, but it appears a patent application was filed in 1904 for something called "The Landlord's Game," and the drawing of the original board bears some resemblance to the modern version.

Today, there are countless (approved) special editions, including Disney, National Parks and even James Bond 007 versions. Can a geocaching variant be far behind?

As for how to win the game, there are several strategies and even a few books on the subject. Personally, I try to buy as many properties as possible, including the lowly Water Works. Feel free to add tips or other game-related thoughts in your log. Have fun!

Based on the name and the hint, I think I know exactly where and what I'm looking for. Turns out I'm wrong on both accounts, but scored a find anyway. TNLNSL. TFTC.

I found it in exactly the spot I had spent the most time examining last time. Saw the silhouette of it against the lighted background, and there was no missing it. Found it right away. Left a stencil. Thanks for the hide. We walked here from the Windrow Cache, which we DNF'd. Night caching is a different animal, which we're still getting used to.

My little one fell asleep in the car after we found Long Meadow so we decided to cruise the area. BTW- there is a nice new retail area at the corner of Irvine and Sand Canyon. Anyway, we had old data so we hit this spot. No luck. I think it could have been me though. I was focused on the white utility box and it's gate. I saw the unavailable note when I got home.
