(This is the second cache in a three-part series. The first
cache is
GCZ0TB and the third cache is
GCZ0TH.)
The cache is NOT at the listed
coordinates. To find the cache's actual location you must read the
description below.
This cache can be dangerous, and should not be undertaken by the
weak of heart. DO NOT attempt this cache if it is raining, or is
about to rain.
As always, use common sense while finding this cache and don't take
any unnecessary risks.
"I think I got pretty close to the location of the second item.
It's located farther into the tunnel from the grate. I won't go
into all of the details, but after poking around that tunnel for so
long I became convinced that the second item was hidden near a
smaller side tunnel. Unfortunately I lost all of my notes about
this particular location but if my memory serves me correctly, the
side tunnel was marked with pink paint. I think it said something
about a bridge, maybe? And it had a distance painted there, too.
Yeah, it said '1/8 mile.' Maybe that was it.
"I don't think the second item was located down that small
tunnel, but feel free to explore down there if you want. It's a
little cramped, so I never bothered to go in. Instead, you should
focus your attention to the area past that small side tunnel, maybe
fifty feet further in. That's where I think the second item is
hidden."

We really enjoyed this series of caches. In fact, we abandoned all plans of finding other nearby caches to grab these. As a kid/teen Skippy and friends used to spend a lot of time cruising through tunnels like this. It was a much faster way to get around town in some cases. Happy, on the other hand, tends to be more cautious; but today she was feeling very adventurous. We weren't sure just how far we had to go for this one, but pressed on and were rewarded with a great-sized cache. TNL pencil.
Thanks for the spelunking,
Skippy :)

We enjoyed one of our best caching days ever down here! I'm not sure what I was reading most of the time, but I followed my fearless leader and we found what we were looking for! Perhaps the day after a rainstorm wasn't the best time to come down here, but it certainly made it more interesting! I will have some interestingly sore muscles today, as we leapt from side to side, and sometimes just leaned on each other (some leaned harder than others) just to make it through.
What a fun adventure! Thanks for the fun!
Happy :)

After we found the clue for the first cache in this series (GCZ0TB), we continued up the tunnel, seeking this cache. We found several notations on the walls in pink paint, but none of them seemed quite right. Finally, at 16:30, we found the one mentioned in the story. It is unambiguous.
Nickelodeon was walking ahead of SillyCutie and WavyGirl. I was last, and I arrived at the cache site as Nickelodeon was retrieving it. We marveled at the size of the cache and at the goodies inside. SillyCutie took a container of Play-Doh and left a pack of Batman playing cards.
We stated further upthe tunnel to seek the third cache in the series, but we had not gone but a few steps when SillyCutie slipped and fell in the water. She got her clothes wet, and very much wanted to return to the car to go home. We abandoned the search for the next cache, whichmeans we didn't get to see the picture gallery that I remember from my last visit to the tunnel in 1982. On the way out, WavyGirl slipped and fell, too, so I had two wet and unhappy children.
We managed to find some dry clothes for them in my car, enough so we could explore the surface to find the actual cache for GCZ0TB. See my log there for more details.
Thanks for the fun!

Out with Boilermaker_82 for a morning in the sewer. Had a great time. Thx.

Don't need no stinkin' boots. Actually would have been easier, but we were in it for the adventure. The young ones were turned back from retrieving the cache by the local wildlife. Took the older one with nerves of steel and ribbing from the fatherly types to retrieve the cache. 'Cuz I wasn't gonna go in there!! Again, great fun had by all.

Found it with our early morning group. Lucky I had water proof boots. The smells that are down here OMG!!!!.

Unfortunately I did not have a name yet so I was unable to log, but I was there with ekard and cacheinpocket. Was a lovely stroll through the sewer. Thanks for the adventure.

The trek continued, there was no turning back. Suprisingly, the smell wasn't that bad; I'm thinking there was enough fresh air coming into the system to keep things minty-fresh. At a few points the water was halfway up the boots, but they held! You go, Wal-Mart, keep sellin' the dairy boots. TFTC!

This was a fantastic cache! The clue was very helpful. We were out with a large group, all equiped with rubber boots and flashlights. Although it was a fun cache, I was glad when we got out. TFTC

Moving onward to complete the mission, we forged forward. The water getting deep and slippery in places. Perhaps the knee high gloss leather boots with the gold buckle would have kept more water out, but there was no time to acquire new equipment. You're intel on the suspected location was quite accurate and had you pursued, you may have been able to obtain success, but I see how going it alone may have deterred your ambition. Agent Square D 1/2 went in for the strike and after a few moments obtained success. With only one more target, the team was feeling pretty confident.
