In California, United States
Difficulty: Terrain:
| It's a once in a Blue Moon kind of hide. It is more difficult and perhaps something new that hasn't been done quite like this before in the OC; good luck, for you may need it! |
Log only micro container (bison) with cammo cover! Be careful with the cammo cover. You do not need to hold the cammo when opening the cache, for its delicate.
Once in a Blue Moon ... is a common way of saying not very often, but what exactly is a Blue Moon?
According to the popular definition, it is the second Full Moon to occur in a single calendar month.
The average interval between Full Moons is about 29.5 days, while the length of an average month is roughly 30.5 days. This makes it very unlikely that any given month will contain two Full Moons, though it does sometimes happen.
On average, there will be 41 months that have two Full Moons in every century, so you could say that once in a Blue Moon actually means once every two-and-a-half years.
Hopefully the cache find rate doesn't coincide with blue moons!
Good luck and Happy Geocaching!

Druid Frank gets credit for finding this elusive cache. Clever camo and clever hide. Found it just as it was getting dark. TNLNSL. TFTC!

We looked around for awhile and as we were just about to call it, B announced the find. We found a very similar cache near our home in our first 25 caches found when we started this game. SL.

After a productive morning, we decided to try one more. We parked in the first spot hoping that would increase our chances. While we were standing and looking around, a white van goes by and we hear someone yell, "your close". Hmmmm... unfortunately there was a birthday party going on. A very popular person, lots of cars, lots of people! We decided to come back another time.

We gave a big "yippee" when we found this clever hide. We had looked for a few minutes yesterday while visiting our daughter. We thought about it over night and when we returned, we found it in a few minutes. Looks good. SL TFTC

Took two tries and a lifeline, and lots of luck and maybe some good geosenses to find this one. I had just about given up and was on my way back down to the car, when I spotted it. This is a very tough one and without knowing what I was looking for, and then without CIP's very specific clues, I never would have found it. SL. TFTC. Ycats.

Hey, found it on the return trip! With help from CIP, that is. I was close a few days back, but GPSr kept leading me in other directions. Not this time, you evil handheld unit. ;-) TFTC!
