The overall area is called University Research Park and borders on the west side of the UCI campus.
The 185-acre University Research Park is home to about 40 companies and more than 4,000 employees.

Cisco, AOL, Intel and others are just down the street. BUT, the first large scale CAMPUS belongs to Skyworks.
Skyworks ocupies 4 or the 6 buildings in their quad area.
Skyworks' wireless LAN front-end module is used in front of Broadcom's chipsets.
Skyworks campus will front end Broadcom's newset campus.

Broadcom announced in January 2005 that it move its operations to the University of California Irvine's
University Research Park, calling it one of the largest office leases in Orange County history.
The communications chip maker said it will occupy eight new buildings -- and about 700,000 square feet --
when it moves from its Irvine headquarters in about two years. The deal means Broadcom will expand its
operations in Irvine by more than 200,000 square feet.

By partnering with Skyworks, Broadcom will continue to deliver products that will greatly improve
the Wi-Fi user experience,"
The move will make colaberation easier and quicker once they are walking distance apart.

You are able to see both campuses day or night.
Log only and bring your pen.

An old reliable hide that seems to be muggle proof. Unfortunately, did not look there first! Good one.

#692 - 1615 - Out with cache_in_pocket for the afternoon. Since we were in the area, we swung by to grab this cache. The coordinates were 55 feet off but with a litle help from CIP, it was a simple cache and dash.

After finishing the Susan G Koren 5K walk, spent the afternoon geocaching with Geojeppr. Mom Jack found the cache. There was quite a few empty business buildings.

Our coordinates were close to what Cache-in Pocket had. Our Garmin said 33 38.200 117 51.127. Looked for awhile and finally found it. Thanks for the cache.

Spent way too much time looking for this one. Like another post, it was in the last place I looked. Anyway, I persisted and found it. I don't know if this is a Garmin vs Magellan thing, but I took coords of n33 38.200, w117 51.125 with 8.6ft of accuracy. Thanks for the fun.
