Cache area is located near the junction of a dirt horse trail and bike path.

The cumulative effect of excessive dogpile caches has finally taken its toll on Orange County....be wary...

Note 2/18/06: This cache has been hidden for a week now without a successful find. We went to the cache site and verified that it is in place and have taken new coordinates. Here are the three sets of coords we got for the site:

N33 39.168, W117 52.042
N33 39.169, W117 52.038
N33 39.170. W117 52.041

We've updated the coords to N33 39.169, W117 52.041

The difficulty has been raised to a 2 to ease the disappointment when someone has to log a DNF. The hint has also been updated. Sooo...short of us greeting cachers trailside to escort them to the hide, we've no idea why this cache has been so difficult for so many experienced cachers. You won't be able to believe it either when you finally find it...

Update 2/19/06: Unbelievable, now this cache is putting the wetlands in danger? Puhleez! We've been asked to describe the container. It is a 4 inch M&M tube that has 8 inches of camouflage. The whole thing is wrapped in camouflage cloth. Perhaps next week, we'll arrange a large rock "X" to mark the spot and take a picture. Raising the difficulty to 3.5 to discourage cachers who go for the easy finds. We wouldn't want too much foot traffic on this fragile 4 foot wide dirt horse path.... Hey, perhaps a better idea is to make it limited to premium/charter members only! Yeah, that's the ticket!

Started the Bikencache trail here - but we had no luck. We spent quite a bit of time looking and the only thing I managed to find was dog poop! Dead * Guess how I found it...* Dead

Looked and looked for this one with my Sister and her family. No where to be found. Looks like trees in this area have been recently trimmed. 8-|

No luck here today!
Spent way much time searching for it but I had to move on.
It's probably there, I just didn't see it.
Maybe I'll be back someday...

Found this one quite easily. Found the camo cloth separated from the cache by a few feet but that said we were in the area. Natural camo covered the actual cache quite well but it was found. Seemed to have lost a good pair sunglasses working the Back Bay caches today. Bummer. Retraced our steps but to no avail. Worked in this area (Ford plant on the bluff) for 17 years and drove by the Back Bay for years, right past this area - never with a chance to visit. Now, there was a reason. Enjoyed the walk (no bike today) so we cached for a few hours and discovered several in the area. Thanks for the series. We rewrapped the cache with the camo cloth and replaced with additional natural camo. TFTC-TNLNSL-Enjoy

DNF'd this quite a while ago and decided today would be the day. Saw something on my approach, went for it and was suprized it was the cache. I had a completely different idea about what the cache would be. Very very cool. Thanks for the memorable one.
