This is an easy to get to but more difficult to find cache.

Linksys and Cisco sell equipment to Time Warner's cable TV business who's service is call "RoadRunner". BUT the "roadrunner" here has feathers not BYTES.

If you visit at night, watch out for the rabbits, they are everywhere and there sure are a LOT of them.

If you visit in the daytime, be quiet and watch for the REAL road runnerS. They come to visit the people in the building hoping they'll feed him some fresh hamburger. (*YES, they eat MEAT and rarely eat seeds and plants.)

They've been known to sit on the vehicles in the parking lot (the taller the better) and use them as a look out for hunting. Keep an eye out for them, if you see them, send/post the picture for the cache to hold (virtually).
First one to get a picture of him, gets to name THEM!!! Yes, there is a mated pair living here.

The cache container has room for only small items. Bring a pen with you.

Please be aware of the people in the area and try to be stealthy if they are around....

See if you can keep the networking theme, it may be hard to do. I had trouble thinking of the items that started the cache....

Cache originally contained:
portion of a 100-Mb ethernet cable
ethernet cable extender (female to female joiner)
portion of a gig-a-bit ethernet cable
anti-static grounding strap
golf tee
flat marble

Good luck hunting the cache but PLEASE, NO HUNTING the roadrunner...

Please log your "no finds".

Finally found this one! We read way too much into the clues, stick with clue #5. Coords were pretty accurate, too. Thanks!

Looked for a bit, but the coords pointed us to an unlikely spot. Expanded our search, then gave up as we were losing daylight for our little caching spree in the area. Hope it's still there.

One of two DNFs for YourBuddyBill and me. We used the clues as much as we could, but still couldn't find the cache. We were there right when all the muggles were coming back from lunch. Perhaps another day.

Tried this one some time ago and came up empty. Went back today with the caching mates (no, not the same as "Cachemate"!) and hit paydirt. Amazing how that happens. TFTC!

Interesting find for this one. As Troupb-b and Foon said, the GPSr had us in an open area of the parking lot, the asphalt was not budging Smile. I was certain that security was going to come out and help us but was able to figure things out before we got additional help. Thanks for the cache.

Fourteenth of 15 finds tonight with GoBeach and TroupB-B. It was just before midnight when we found this one. Not sure our GPSrs were cooperating, because they kept taking us somewhere different from where we eventually found the cache. Very clever hide - we enjoyed this one!

This was the fourteenth of 15 finds tonight while out doing some late-night geocaching with my friends, gobeach and Foon! And it was the last of our run through Newport Beach. Since we found it just before midnight, it was also our last find of the day! Smile We hunted and hunted for this one, and even tried using the hint to no avail. Turns out that the coordinates took us a little too far to the west, and the hint did nothing but confuse us. So, Gobeach read the logs and checked out a potential hide area, and there it was! TNLNSL. Thanks for the hide!

It is amazing how a 2nd visit makes the world of difference. As soon as I pull into the only available parking stall, I noticed something I hadn't before so I just left the engine running. Went out and looked and noticed something even more suspecious. Extracted the cache and signed the log. Thanks for the cache.

Hints
#1 The container is hanging around the parking lot.
#2 The road runner won't be able to get it.
#3 Most people won't need special tools but a small few might.
#4 This is NOT low hanging fruit.
#5 It's not as hard as you might think.
