Geocaching's Cardinal Rule #142 celebrates an infamous Socal FTF "Geo-incident" (GCQHWP) that occured in Anaheim a few weeks ago between the Geo-Ranger & Hotpnkhrt. This cache is hidden in Arevalos Park.

When two geocachers both claim a FTF for the same cache, then Geocaching's Cardinal Rule #142 may be invoked. Both the geo-ranger and hotpnkhrt found a new cache hidden in the anaheim area a few weeks ago on the same day. The geo-ranger signed next to the #1 in the log sheet. Allegedly, so did Hotpnkhrt ... Becktrex confirmed that both the Geo-Ranger and Hotpnkrt had been there but did not notice the Geo-Ranger log signature, but the swag that the geo-ranger left was there!!! Becktrex signed below Hotpnkhrt ... Hmmm, now the Geo-Ranger did sign the cache in pencil so what could have happened that caused the notation to not be noticed .... controversy! To regain honor, the Geo-Ranger invoked Rule #142 which is a geo-challenge! In this case, the geo-ranger chose dueling pistols at 20 paces with the surviving cacher recovering the finds of the other!!! Afterall, there can be only one FTF! All Hotpnkhrt has to do now is accept the challenge and choose the location ... email inquiries to Hotpnkhrt to resolve this matter went unanswered, hence this new cache! Upon accepting the geo-challenge, it is possible that Hotpnkhrt's evil reign of micro terror in SoCal will end! Of course, it's more than likely that one cacher will submit so peace, love and geo-harmony will return to SoCal.

As far as this cache goes, the FTF will likely go to Amtraker or Happy & Skippy. The Geo-Ranger's are betting on the latter given their awesome FTF track record. Hopefully, it will be a swift FTF too with no controversy - better sign in pen!!! [;>] Congrats to Pacholik for yet another, FTF!

Didn't really look much because of previous logs, even though I just found the other one in this park. TFTC. A bit of HB-FV caching after even less work today. Oop's did I say that. Thanks for all your hides down here people!

Needs Maintenance 10/30/2006 by nonaeroterraqueous
The log, the container and the other thing are all in disrepair.

Well, we finally found it. Even with the last finders' clue it still took a bit of work. After retrieving the red thing we almost tore it the rest of the way apart trying to find the log. Then we realized that the log was probably supposed to have been attatched to the bottom of it. We looked again and found it where it had fallen. There was no way to re-attach the two with what we had on us. The log was too wet to sign, so we included a laminated ID as proof of our visit. Thanks for the hide.

Went with the GCOREY family, new geocachers who live in the neighborhood, who found the cache. I was dubious because the last "found" notation was May 27. Well done to newbie geocachers GCOREY: this was only her 2nd find! She's a natural!
Hint: We saw red.

Ah, yes, the ubiquitous hedge cache. Found a piece of trash suspended in the branches, though. Ripped a hole in my shirt, which seemed to make my wife happy.

We had to hunt for this one! The log was detached from the cache so we reattached it with a rubber band. Cache could use some maintenance as it is getting tired. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Found this one today with Ycats. A fun, quick find which was nice because this was #17 today. The cache needs a little maintenance. The camo is separating from the container. TN/LN/SL. TFTC

Wow a cache with my name in the description, twice, and it took me almost 6 months to find it. The area has clearly changed since this cache was hidden but that probably made it easier for me. Thanks for the fun and the cache with the cute name. TNLNSL
