This cache is near the home of Roch Courreges, a Basque sheep rancher who came to the area in 1878 from San Francisco. In 1896, he purchased 80 acres of land. He founded First National Bank of Huntington Beach, the Smeltzer Telephone Co. and the Farmer's Cannery. The water-tank house built in 1898, and the main house, built in 1912, are still standing. His grandson, Joe still lives here in the house.

Caching Chameleon found this one while the rest of the family was waiting out the passing muggles. I signed the log and Caching Chameleon tried to put in some swag but it wouldn't fit. Ah well. Locations was kind of neat too....well, 50ft down I suppose. Thanks for the cache.

Howdy from TRAKD My partner “Brave Sir Robin” and I finished up another day of classes at our conference and headed out to find a few caches. We really needed to stretch our legs with these long days so this was a perfect walk. We spotted the treasure quickly and signed the log. Thanks for the adventure. Cheers

TRAKD and I adventured forth after serving our time at a conference - we needed a caching break. So we strapped on our walking shoes and grabbed a bunch. This was a quick find for us. Thank for the excuse to adventure.

Out caching with MIB on Super Bowl Sunday. Easy find just off the path. I drive by this area at least twice a week and thought there should be a cache here; sure enough, there already is one! TFTC.

# 958. We tried some time ago and DNF. This time it was easy. The pencil was on the ground - we replaced it on the cache but it seem to be a bit too long and fits only sideways. TNLNSL - TFC. CLRL

The title is a major clue to where this one is. We found it and signed the log.
