Difficulty: Terrain:
| I always wondered who Gisler was - now I know. Easy cache - quick grab. Mind the Geomuggles in the nearby playground and the remains of irresponsible dog owners. Please cover cache with leaf litter. Costa Mesa parks close at dusk. |
You can read more about the history of Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley Gisler Family here courtesy of Gisler School in Fountain Valley http://www.fvsd.k12.ca.us/gisler/gishist.html
[:)] Additional history Contributed by Oldtechies By the way, I had always wondered why there was a Gisler school in both Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. The one in HB was named Ernest Gisler-- (a relative of Robert, no doubt.) Rumour has it that the names were chosen by the respective school boards on the same night! Gisler in HB was a middle school near Atlanta and Bushard. It was closed quite a few years ago and is now leased to Liberty Christian. Another fascinating page from the local history.
A camo'd tupperware box container about 4x2x4 big enough for a travel bug.

Five of us looked for this one last year with no luck. This year, I brought hubby and my lucky poky stick and he found it right away. Took a pin and left a geocoin. TFTC.
