Located near the Upper Moro Ridge Campground in Crystal Cove State Park. (To conform to new park rules, this cache has been slightly relocated; now, it's even easier to find!)

On a Friday night, our Boy Scout Troop set off on a hike in Crystal Cove State Park, headed for the Lower Moro Ridge Campground. However, when we reached it, we found another troop squatting on our territory.

They were too big and noisy, so we decided to brave another mile of hiking and go to the Upper Moro Ridge Campground. Boy, were we glad we did. It's a much nicer camp. In the morning, we cooked breakfast, hid a cache, and headed back home. On our way out, we found ZenBabes' " Why We Ride " Cache.

The original contents of the cache were:
  • Orange County Council patch
  • USA Flag patch
  • On My Honor sticker
  • Boy Scouts of America sticker
  • Boy Scouts of America rubber sticker
  • BSA Emblem sticker
  • Three Cub scout belt loops
  • Soccer/football/baseball keychain
  • Baseball ping-pong ball
  • The Liahona IV Traveler
  • Logbook and pen
originally in an ammo can, but relocated in a decon container.

You may have noticed a Boy Scout theme in the contents. We encourage all Boy Scouts--past, present, and future--to visit our caches and trade Boy Scout items. All others are welcome as well.

Found it. Got a little worried because my GPS was taking me near a bush and the whole area had just been bushwhacked. I abandoned that area and tuned in the geosenses and found it quickly. Very nicely done. Thanks for the cache.

Our 3rd find of 3 today. We were looking for the ammo can pictured on this page, but guess what, it ain't in an ammo can anymore. Took hello kitty stickers & boyscout patch. Left Werebear TB, rubber snake, & CHP keychain. Signed log.
