Alton, at South Lake, Irvine

I spent two hours sitting there with my TOTT in hand, considering the extreme place I intended to place that cache.  It was going to be way up there.  Oh, yes, my knees were getting shaky just thinking about it.  I watched the timing of the cars as they wizzed by.  I looked at the clock on my cell phone.  It was getting late, and it was now or never.  I'd have just enough time in the lulls of traffic and the occasional pedestrian to scale that rock pillar and the lowest part of the cross beam, reach up with my newly acquired reaching device and place that sucker where no one would get it.  I took two deep breaths, and I did it.  I chickened out completely.  I ended up putting it in an easy place where anyone could just walk up to it and make the grab.  Oh, well.  Have fun, and may you find this cache before it finds you.

Oh, and, by the way, the front of the cache is the lid. To remove it just pull it straight off, no need to unscrew anything.   I just didn't want anyone tearing the thing apart trying to figure out how to open it.

Darn. I was rather hoping JJG10101 was going to find us another one of Koipondkid's unpublished caches. Wink

Started by over-complicating things. Doh! Initially thought it might be similar to idea JJG/CIP had last week. Went down that road for about five minutes before giving up. Re-considered the cache description, then more or less walked right up to it. Stupid preconceived ideas, I gotta quit doin' that. ;-) TFTC!

I was pretty sure what I was looking for; and although I found it, I didn't get what I wanted...a First to find. But nonetheless, it was a nice place for a cache and a well executed one. With the variety of muggles I had to doge, I'm glad you chickened out Smile. Thanks for the fun.

Discarding a bug that I wish I'd never laid eyes on.
