The biggest medical milestone since 1840 is not antibiotics, DNA
or vaccines, according to more than 11,000 physicians and members
of the public. Although they all made the top five in the British
Medical Journal's poll of favorite medical breakthroughs, the
number-one choice was sanitation. Sanitation is likely the most
important factor affecting public health today.
The Cloaca Maxima was one of the world's earliest sewage systems
and was constructed in ancient Rome in order to remove the waste.
It carried waste and marsh water to the River Tiber. The Romans
placed their faith in the Cloaca Maxima because the sewer was
considered important to their way of life and good health. The need
for the Goddess of the Sewers soon became recognized.
Cloacina was the patron goddess of the Cloaca Maxima. Over time,
the Romans came to also think of her in a multitude of other ways
including; as the goddess of purity, the goddess of filth, and the
protector of marital relations. Over the ages, she became
affiliated with Venus; and, gradually became known as the Venus
Cloacina.
You will find this multi-waypoint cache at one of Cloacina’s
largest haunting grounds in Orange County.
Everything may be found on the public side of the brick
wall.

#593. Found this multi with CADZ today. Very accurate coords & good hints! The final container is very nicely done. Took the Castleman Vegas bug, and left a Diabetes (Algeria) TB and a Green Jeep TB. Thanks for the fun, and we look forward to more of your caches!

This was a thoroughly enjoyable multi-cache. We parked nearby, found the coords to be spot-on, and really enjoyed the camo and the story. With cousins in town, it was fun to get out as a little group and grab this only about a half mile from home. The boys did a great job of locating each point quickly. We look forward to finding more of your caches. On the way out we ran into McGruff & McGruffer, but they were more upset by the end than we were. Life is too short to be cranky.
Thanks for the (not so) stinky cache,
Skippy :)

Well done cache. Once a person overcomes the high nearby traffic anxiety factor, it is a lot of fun. The container was one of the neatest I have seen.

Nicely crafted multi cache! The waypoints were spot on too. It was early and I was not quite awake because I signed the log with the date of March 5th instead of March 6th -- but I was there Thx mucho for the FTF $!!! As if being FTF isn't enough!! I don't get very many FTF's so sorry people if I am going overboard.....
