You're looking for a small cache in an Irvine micro-park. Note that the park is closed from 11:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

I haven't played tennis in years, but I can't imagine the game has changed much. Sure, the racquets are made from graphite and other modern materials now, but the object is still the same: hit the ball over the net until your opponent goofs up. A few other rules apply, I suppose. The container you seek once held bullion (no, not the precious metals kind; the *food* kind, although the spelling varies in different reference books); now it's a well-camouflaged cache. So, relax a bit, practice your Backhand, and have fun!

Searched high and low for about 15 minutes and could not find. GPSr would not settle down (mostly on court side of fence too).

Searched for about half an hour and found five tennis balls, and a larger ball- but alas- no cache. The GPSr reading was on the court side of the fence for us...knew that was off. Hit both benches and still came up empty...

This one was a lot harder then it should have been. Happened to see Team Rand at another cache and they offered some hints. T yellow flamingo L red football SL TFTH

Out for the day with Team Rand. Four of us with two dogs,a road pilot and three hand held GPS's. It doesn't get more fun then this. Our GPS's all took us to the wrong bench which kept us busy way too long. Finally we expanded our search area and Mrs. Team Rand spotted it. TNLNSL Thanks for this cache.

Second time here. Had to discuss what we were doing with a couple of tennis players. They wanted to see cache if we found it. Luckly we found it this time.

Yep, all the typical suspects have been here, cached this one! Good camo and just didn't spot it with poor lighting. So much easier this time with the sun up. This was the second of two low hanging fruit gathered on a quick jaunt across the OC. Yesterday - four dnfs, today - two for two and beat the train by 15 seconds, woo hoo! Celebrate these little victories in life .. Definitely search and grab this one before the muggles take to the courts later in the day!

Thanks for this cache and thanks for trying some of our harder hides in the CL area this past weekend, that's something the mega masses avoided in favor of cache density and easy park & grabs! At Saturday's coin event, it was all about the ICONS and Sunday, it was all about the NUMBERS. Congrats again on your latest FTFs. Wink

Didn't realize this was such a new cache. I guess we've been preoccupied lately.

Couldn't find it until the players left and turned the lights out. Then I was able to spot the silhouette (I think that's how it's spelled, but I'm not looking it up). Nearly impossible to see it when light is coming from both directions.

You should see me play tennis; it's hilarious. Thanks for the hide.

Had to sit out the last of a game. If the players were friends, they were certainly very "competitive" people!! SL Thx 4 the hide!!

My GPSr wanted me to tour the entire park and did not truly settle down until I sat down to watch some volleys. When I looked back at my GPSr it told me that I was “there” A quick search and I was signing the log book. Thanks for the fun!
