Quail Trail

Along Shady Canyon Drive, the Quail Trail serves many for their exercise needs. Parking is close and the cache is easily accessible.

Farmer BoB, a friend of mine is a plum grower. Plum fruit is sweet and juicy and it can be eaten fresh or used in jam-making or other recipes. Plum juice can be fermented into plum wine; when distilled, this produces a brandy known in Eastern Europe as Slivovitz. Dried plums are known as prunes. They also contain several antioxidants that may slow aging. Prune marketers in the United States have, in recent years, begun marketing their product as "dried plums", because "prune" has negative connotations connected with elderly people suffering from constipation.

We took my Grandson (Geocacher-in-training) on his first cache run. He found it quite pleasant to be carried in a pack and sleep most of the way. Wink Gee who wouldn't??

Plumb confused about the cache name but so long as I signed a log sheet, I'm happy! THX 4 the fun!

My significant other and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today and work on finding some of the caches along the Shady Canyon Trail. This cache was a little off the beaten path and along another less worn path, by fellow geocachers I’m sure. Retrieved “Plumb Bob”, signed the log and replaced. Does anyone know what that structure, just North of GZ, is? See photo gallery.
