Micro cache that will require an easy hike. Bring a pen and a
bottle opener.
Health check on 02/28/08. Replaced
cache. |
There are many people AND businesses out there that wish they
could be as big a Broadcom is today. Well, NOW you can be
bigger
than Broadcom will ever be. You'll LOVE the view from the top.
This is a controlled nature area so, PLEASE DON'T TRAMPLE THE
PLANTS.
UCI does many studies in the area and if you see any markers or
research equipment (EX: funnel hanging in a bush), DON'T touch
them.
I did notice a few bushes with small metal tags too. They ARE
NOT related to the cache. Follow the foot paths already there.

It was still light when I left work, so I thought I'd see if I could spot a cache or two. This one had me scrambling! I cleaned out its little bed of broken glass, then tucked it back in.

I did feel bigger than Broadcom looking down at their tiny building. Quite a few muggles out hiking around on a Broardcom break. Another jshults cache with great views. TFTC SL

Searched all around for quite a while and couldn't locate. Found an idea spot for a micro, but with nothing there... This location get a lot of traffic, and is a hang out spot for teens. I wonder if the cache has been muggled, or if we just missed it.

With nothing better to do in my lunch hour break from Jury Duty, I call up some friends who haven't done this cache yet and we're off. Found parking as suggested and set off on foot. One foot in front of the other and one hand feeding my face. Scarfed down my lunch on the hike up. Views are pretty good...where's a hang glider when you need one! Thanks.

Out for a little lunch time caching with JJG and CIP. Great view and easy walk to the cache even though we did hike a little. Thanks

Hints (Back) #1 Most of the year, there's nothing green in the area except some moss. #2 If I had to bet, I'd bet you that Rolling Rock caps are GREEN, the ones seen up here are NOT. Weird...
