| It seems that people form allegiances easily. Many IBM users won’t
touch a Mac if Y2K was threatening certain destruction. Chevy
owners won’t let their friends drive Fords. Beta users dissed VHS.
Garmin users extol the virtues of their product over Navman,
DeLorme, Lowrance, etc. |
Seems silly to us. But there are certain words that evoke images of
geocaching regardless of your preferences. Magellan is one of those
words, and this location seemed to call to us for a cache.
Please log your visit and let us know what type of GPSr you use
and why you like it.
You're looking for a decon container.

Found with the Boondockers and our son, The Cache Magnet. It looks like you could store a lot of Magellans in there. Thanks for the find.

Found it, but the only thing we use for locating cache's is Google Earth maps. We just close in on the location using the coordinates and keep going for a closer view without it getting too distorted. Then print the map and off we go. So far we've found everything we've gone looking for. This was our 3rd find of four this morning. Thanks.

A quick find before turning in my rental car! TFTC! My Garmin 60CSx led me right to it. So, is there a "Garmin" building around there too?

Quick grab on the way home from work. This cache is well hidden but is certainly visible from the right vantage point. The coords were bouncing around quite a bit on my Garmin etrex vista hcx, but I did an average and my coords ended up matching almost exactly: I got N 33° 41.163 W 117° 52.285. Took the bag with the 3 little pigs and left a pewter pig mini. TFTC!

DIDN'T FIND IT!!!???? WHAT THE H*LL??? This is a 1/1!! Are you guys using a Magellan? Maybe THAT'S why I wasn't where your coords say it should be ! I'm using my Garmin 60CSx and I found 11 caches already today, so I think it "might" be showing me some pretty good coords. I got here, walked to GZ, and said, "Perfect place for a cache! -- I'll just reach right here and..." -- but there wasn't anything there!! So I checked EVERYWHERE else!! Up, down, over, under, around, through, across, in, out -- nada, nada, nada. A decon container, you say? Well, I sure know what one of THOSE look like, even when they're camo'd!! I'm gonna put this on my watch list and see how embarrassed I can be when the next cacher with 2 finds to his name comes by and says, "Easy find!" Oh, brother, what a way to end my day...
