Located on the great Shady Canyon Trail. Parking is available at N 33 37.997 W 117 48.208. You can't drive into the gated community. But you can walk alone the side to the public trail.

On the way to the Shady Canyon cache I stopped and placed one. Not far off the trail. You are looking for a Decon container.

DISCLAIMER:
No acronym-only logs allowed. Logs that contain only acronyms or which don't even contain one full sentence will be deleted. Anything less is insulting. Feel free to relog with something, anything, more substantial

My first time biking along this bike path. Very nice homes and park areas back here. Next stop the Shady Canyon cache. TFTC SL

Found during a nice lunch-time walk. This is such a nice area this time of year when everything is so green.

Cache container reminds me of when I was a Chemical Decontamination Specialist in the Army many years ago. Thanks for the memories.

My significant other and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today and work on finding some of the caches along the Shady Canyon Trail. We took “Team Rand” advice and parked at Turtle Rock Community Park. A little wondering around ground zero and we spotted the infamous Decon container. Made the grab, signed the log, left a superman toy and headed down the trail.

These decon containers can really be nasty. Luckily my son, The Cache Magnet, spotted it as he walked up to GZ.

We had great fun hiking and caching along this trail. It took a little while to find this cache, but we finally found a better way to approach the area and found it quite easily then. Thanks for the hide.

Thanks for the hunt. This cache is located right outside my house, who would've thunk it! I exchanged my signature item for the army man.

[I enjoy finding and moving trackable items, so when I saw that a CITO Geocoin resided in Army of One, I decided to try for it. The two relatively recent DNFs gave me pause, suggesting perhaps that the cache had been muggled, but I decided to press on nonetheless. I parked at the suggested coordinates, shouldered my geocaching backpack, and set off on the trail. I was impressed that the trail consisted of 2 trails, one paved and one dirt; one doesn't see that very often. I was further impressed that the landscapers who designed the trail and surrounding area apparently used cactus as a significant component in the landscaping. I'd sure hate to fall into one of those cactus beds! After a short hike the needle on my Garmin GPSmap 60CSx GPSr pointed to the left and the GPSr indicated I was only 50 or so feet from GZ. So I ventured off the trail, around some bushes, and stopped where my GPSr indicated GZ. This was a sobering experience since within 20 feet (the approximate accuracy of my GPSr) of GZ there was an abundance of places where a decon container could be hung.] The hint helped narrow things down some, but "low" could include the ground, a place not generally used to seclude decon containers. [But I wasn't deterred and set out on the search. It took awhile, but I finally spotted it about 10-12 feet from where my GPSr indicated GZ. I was glad to find that the cache hadn't been muggled and I was further glad to find that the CITO Geocoin that Boilermaker_82 left was still in the cache. So I liberated the geocoin and left my signature item. Since I like to collect signature items, I would have taken the army guy had I known it may be Sergeant Major Pacholik's signature item. (Is it your signature item, Sergeant Major?) I'll keep my eye out for one during the remainder of my 2 1/2 month geocaching sojourn in Orange County, as I'd like to add it to my collection. Finally, I'd like to commend Sergeant Major Pacholik for his stand against acronym-only logs. I don't feel quite as strongly as he does (i.e. that anything less than at least one sentence is insulting), but I do think anyone who goes to the work and expense of hiding and maintaining a cache deserves more than "SL TFTC" or the like in the log of a find. And certainly Sergeant Major Pacholik, with 32 cache hides and over 5300 finds as of today, has paid his dues and deserves what he reasonably asks for.]

Couldn't find it. One of those where the GPS says 10ft that way, then 30ft the other. Anyway, looked around but no find.
