Found this one at Canyon Park where I have not been to before. I little bit of wilderness in a sea of development. Great fun.

While we enjoyed the walk and were able to find the cache without much trouble, getting to the park was another story. We circled the entire Costa Mesa area trying to find a path back to the parking area. Not sure what the city design advantage is of streets that do not go all the way through, but it was not with cachers in mind.

We tried this one without paperwork and had to circle the entire area to find the right spot to park (little over .1). Then it was off for a nice stroll on a beautiful sunny day in So CA! Found the cache in good shape with both ends covered, the log was a little wadded up so I straightened it up as best I could and put it back in a roll to better fit. Very nice cammo job, like the color match.

Great decrypt clue. We found it with one end missing and only the log inside. Found the other end of cache and mini pen, replaced it and put back.

What a surprise to find a canyon park so close to the ocean and in this pretty neighborhood. This is why we love geocaching, we would never have known about this area without it. We apparently came in the long way as we found a parking lot nearby on our way out, but it was a fun hike. Seems like one end of the container is missing. We only found a log, nothing else. Man, it's dark here. No lights, no illumination of.. any.. kind. What? Oh. It's 5:30 a.m. The sun hasn't come up yet. "Nevermind," as they used to say on "Saturday Night Live." TFTC!

Cache was empty except for the log and pen, so I took a pebble from the nearby hillside as a souveneir and left a pewter koala bear. Thanks!
