Flat, level land--parking is up to you. We parked within 50 feet of the cache on the dirt. This cache takes you to a vista overlook of the Irvine Ranch Water District Reservoir.

How many times have you or someone you know referred to themselves as being “Older Than Dirt.”  The purpose of this cache is to leave something that existed before you were born (older) and to take something that came into being subsequent to your birth (newer).  Since this is not much bigger than a micro container (approximately 4x6x2 inches), please keep items small when trading.  For those not trading items, please log a virtual trade such as “Older than a gel ink pen but younger than a fountain pen.”

Have fun with this one!!

I am really concerned that this one may have gone missing. It sure doesn't have a muggled history, and normally I don't suspect that just because I DNFed the cache. However, I did find a very likely hiding spot with an area that looked like it was specifically made for a cache container. But it was empty.

Of course, a finder along the way may have rehid it in a different location. Admittedly, I did not do a thorough search in all of the available hide locations. But with zero DNFs and 138 got-its, and a suspiciously ideal container location without the cache...

Or maybe I am just the worst cacher of the lot. lol I'm not very eager for "missing" OR "worst cacher"--hoping for option #3!

Had another layover in SNA today with 81Flyboy, and we decided to grab a few more caches. We were limited to being on foot today, and we logged 10 miles this afternoon.

This was our favorite container of the 14 we found today. VERY nicely done and quite creative! I might have to steal your idea for a cache like this one back home in Naples, Florida.

Thanks for the great cache!

Find number 7 of 14 on day 2 of our spring break caching marathon. Found by geomom... she had a hunch. Yesterday it was parents vs. kids. Today it is boys vs. girls. Losers do the dishes. Since this competition started it has been quite funny to watch us all jump off our bikes and start looking. Since Geomom has had the GPSr sometimes the kids just start looking somewhere and it is often not in the right area. So glad we detoured off of the paved bike path to find this cache. Such a beautiful gem. Geodad and Geomom met while attending UCI a few years ago... ha!ha! Drove past here many times, but never explored. Such a loss. Glad we found it today. TFTC!

O.K. here's one for ya! Older than Flagman but younger than SD Rowdies. ClownClown

Hey! They are both celebrating birthdays in the next week or so.

There are a gazillion ants all over the container. I tried to keep them out but I may not have succeeded. Thanks for the smiley.

Cool camo. Walked past duck ponds to get to it and plenty of birds to see. TFTC

Made a power cache run before picking up my wife and kids at the JW airport. Thanks for the great cache here. Found it right on the numbers. Loved your camo. Where did you get that?
