A touch of paradise in the center of urbanna. (We've received a couple of emails asking how we named this cache. The original Heaven Scent cache was located a short distance from the current one and contained a postage stamp sized edition of the King James Bible and a scented candle. It was hidden among some rocks that were later moved by the Irvine Water District. Since we enjoyed the area we created a new cache and found a sneakier place to hide it.)

Cache is now a 1" x 2" x 1/4" flat plastic tube (used to hold ICs). In it you'll find:

  • Dime
  • First class stamp
  • 2N3904 transistor
  • Knotts Berry Farm coupon
  • San Diego Zoo coupon
  • Log (BYOP - Bring Your Own Pencil)

I am afraid I have to add this to my DNF list. When I first came by GZ, about 10 this morning, there where a number of maintenance workers doing A WHOLE LOT of stuff, not 20ft away. I came back again around 3 in the afternoon, not a sole about; I wish I had their hours when I was working. I poked about for maybe half hour, checked the coordinates, made a couple of passes to verify GZ, nothing. Either CALLLIOPY was really sneaky, about hiding the cache, or the maintenance crews got it. I’ll add this to my watch list and see if others have trouble.

Found cache at GZ but the discription of the cache is totally different than what I found. TFTC

Stuck at work all day for a maintenance window that ran long, I only had time to grab a few caches before it got dark. Thanks for the easy find in an area that I have never been too. I will have to come back when there is more light.

Cool spot that I never knew was here. Fun camo too. Thanks for the hide and the nice lunch-time walk. It's a beautiful fall day! SL

Here in Irvine on my own (without the Jan part of Jan and the Man), giving a two-day computer workshop at the SAS Institute in the Met Life building. Always fun to be here with all the caches in the area.

Had to leave the bike trail for this one, but the hide was so interesting, the detour was worth it. Thanks for some fun.
